Renovations on our large meeting room and public bathrooms will begin September 11.  These areas will closed during this time, but the rest of the library will remain open.  Porta-potties will be set up outside.

Renovations begin on September 11th

We’re excited to announce we’ll be renovating the east side of the library starting on September 11th.  The Malone Room (large meeting room), public bathrooms, and the hallway will all be getting a long overdue makeover.  We look forward to unveiling the newly updated rooms to serve you better later this fall.

Many of our recurring events such as children’s storytimes and adult events like Euchre and Hand & Foot will still be held in the library, just in different locations throughout the building.  Some of the higher-attended events will be held offsite during this time.  Please watch your email for updates on where they’ll be relocated.

If you have any questions about the renovations, please call the library at 585-924-2637.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

We’re grateful for the New York State Library Construction Grant that’s funding 75% of the cost of this project, and to the wonderful library supporters whose donations allowed us to fully fund this work.

Recurring Event Locations:

Mah Jongg, Hand & Foot, and Euchre/Hand & Foot: non-fiction and/or large print areas of the library.
Chair yoga and Tai Chi classes: Victor United Methodist Church (VUMC) on Main Street.
Alzheimer’s support group in October is also at the VUMC.
The Solar Eclipse program at the end of September will be located at the Victor Fire Hall.
