The Victor Farmington Library invites you to visit the NEW Storywalk® at the Farmington Town Park on County Road 8, near the Farmington Town Hall. The featured story, “Milo’s Moonlight Mission”, is by local author Kathleen Blasi. We were honored to be the location of Blasi’s book launch in June, when over 60 people came out to the grand opening. Come by to read this beautifully illustrated story!
Generous gifts from the Farmington-Victor Kiwanis Club and ROC the Day donors allowed the library to bring this educational, outdoor activity to Farmington.
Installed by volunteers from Victor Hiking Trails and employees of the Town of Farmington’s Highway/Parks Department, the Storywalk® allows children and adults to enjoy reading while spending time outdoors. The story, which will change periodically, is geared to both adults and children.
Victor Municipal Park Storywalk®
Our Storywalk® allows children and adults to enjoy reading while spending time outdoors with each other. Brightly colored, laminated pages of a children’s book rest on 20 stands mounted on posts around the park. The featured story will change periodically, encouraging park goers to visit it frequently.
The Storywalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpellier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Coalition, and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
